Job
Senior Cybersecurity Consultant / Security Engineering Lead
We are looking for an experienced cybersecurity expert with strong knowledge in penetration testing, security architecture, and secure software development. The role combines hands-on security assessments with technical consulting and the development of scalable security solutions for modern IT infrastructures.
The main responsibilities include conducting comprehensive security assessments for web applications, mobile applications (Android and iOS), and enterprise infrastructures. This includes identifying vulnerabilities, analyzing attack surfaces, and developing concrete recommendations to improve the security posture of client systems.
In addition to offensive security assessments, the role also includes the development of security architectures, performing threat modeling analyses, and supporting incident response investigations. Furthermore, you will evaluate security tools in laboratory environments to identify appropriate technologies for client projects.
Another focus lies in advising organizations on the secure design of their system landscapes. This includes defining scalable technical architectures, implementing hardening measures, and integrating security best practices into development and operational processes.
The position also requires coordinating technical projects and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to effectively implement security requirements. Experience with web technologies, API development, and full-stack development is beneficial in order to integrate security-by-design into software projects.
Requirements
- Completed degree (Bachelor’s or higher) in computer science, IT security, or a comparable technical field
- Several years of practical experience in software development, security testing, and IT security architecture
- Experience in conducting penetration tests (web, mobile, infrastructure)
- Good knowledge of modern cloud, web, and network architectures
- Experience with threat modeling, hardening, and security assessments
- Experience working with open source security products and contributing to their development and integration
- Programming experience in Python, JavaScript, and Java, especially in the context of security tools and automation
- Analytical thinking and a structured, solution-oriented working style
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Experience as a team lead or in technical project leadership is an advantage
